EMOTIONAL LANDSCAPES

Emotional Landscapes is a contemporary glass practice founded in 2022, creating objects for body and space. Rooted in Swedish glass tradition, the practice explores the relationship between physical form and emotion — and the material’s capacity to capture and hold the present moment. Glass is pushed toward tension, near collapse, or gathered into dense compositions of feeling. Through this process, the intention is to create an intimate connection to the object.

Smaller body objects are hand-shaped and kiln-fired by Alice Shulman in Stockholm. Larger sculptural works are developed in collaboration with master glassmakers in the Czech Republic, allowing for increased scale while preserving the immediacy of form. Each piece is formed intuitively in the moment, guided by the material itself, making every object singular. Every work carries an emotional state — expressed through colour, density, and form. Objects for space — including sculptures, vessels, bowls, candlesticks, and light forms — are conceived as carriers of emotion: objects that hold presence across time and space.
